Dr Fat Beams Review

I have a set of these on my alder rosewood j bass.
Dr fat beams review. They are steel roundwound and have a round core. The a d and g strings are very close to dr hi beams in feel and tone but with a slightly looser feel. Ive been playing bass almost 25 years and im still currently active let me enlighten you all on something the marcus miller fat beams are awesome. If you play 4 string this is not a concern. Fat beams are the signature string of innovative world class bassist marcus miller. I m not a fan of dr strings for this reason. They are just a little thicker down low.

I play metal country jazz blues classic rock the list goes on and these strung up to a jazz bass are as ive said the best there is out there hands down. Similar to the hi beams smoother and fatter. Generally fat beams won t do that because they are on a round core but there is still a danger of it.
I like them slightly better than hi beams. They have an exceptional low e string that just rings feels and sounds fantastic. I usually run nickels on it but the fat beams sound awesome.
