Dishwasher Wont Fir With New Tile Floor

Currently my dishwasher fits perfect underneath my counter top with almost no room to spare.
Dishwasher wont fir with new tile floor. So i was told to make a cut in the tile counter. That way should the dishwasher need to be moved again it will be easier. Now i bought a new one and because by putting tile in we raised the floor it will not fit. Can the dishwasher be lowered any more by adjusting it at the base.
The cardboard is not needed if a tile or hardwood floor are planned but. The kitchen had a linoleum floor about ten years old which had been laid over thick plywood.
