Different Stair Carpet Styles

Depending on the scale of the pattern this carpet can take on high energy or subtle characteristics.
Different stair carpet styles. Compared to other types of carpet materials such as wool or polyester nylon is the overwhelming favorite because it is reasonably low maintenance. Stairs are the most common place in the home to have carpet and yet they are also the trickiest. When it comes to carpeting flint gray is the new beige. There are a good number of staircase styles to choose from.
Checkerboard sisal is a classic style produced in tone on tone two tone and tricolor versions. Pairing the carpeting with a good quality hard wearing under pad will protect the stairs and make a softer landing for feet. This is because in addition to having to decide on carpet style and color the carpet has to be of appropriate durability and thickness to be installed on the stair. A carpet labeled heavy domestic or extra heavy domestic is more rigorously tested than other types of carpeting and will better withstand the demands of stair use.
Going with a contrasting patterned carpet on a stair is kind of a less expensive way to achieve the wood stair with a runner look. Small tight weaves of checkerboard sisal present more contrast when viewed from afar whereas larger checkerboard weaves create a dynamic effect. It also offers the most bang for your bucks. It s not something for the amateur to take one except maybe a simple staircase outdoors.
I did this in fact with my own stair which is right in the middle of my open plan home just beyond the entry hall.
